Apple Halwa

INGREDIENTS
Apples - 750 grams
Ghee - 1 1/2 tablespoons
Sugar - 60 grams
Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
Cardamom - 1/4 teaspoon
Nutmeg - 1/8 teaspoon
Almonds - for garnishing

 

PREPARATION


1. Wash 750 grams apples and grate them in a bowl.
2. Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons ghee in a heavy skillet, add the grated apples and cook for 7 - 8 minutes or till they thicken.
3. Add 60 grams sugar and mix well.
4. Add 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon cardamom, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and cook for 5 minutes or till all the water evaporates.
5. Garnish with sliced almonds.
6. Serve hot.
