Coffee Gulab Jamun

Servings - 3 - 4

INGREDIENTS

Water - 400 milliliters

Sugar - 370 grams

Green cardamom - 5 pods

Cinnamon stick - 1 inch

Espresso coffee - 120 milliliters

Milk powder - 300 grams

All purpose flour - 60 grams

Baking powder - 1 teaspoon

Ghee - 90 milliliters

Yogurt - 180 grams

Oil - for frying

PREPARATION

1. Take a pan, add 400 milliliters water, 370 grams sugar and stir well.

2. Add 5 pods green cardamom, 1 inch cinnamon stick and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

3. Bring it to a boil.

4. Then, add 120 milliliters espresso coffee and stir again.

5. Again Bring it to a boil and boil for about 5 - 7 minutes on low heat.

6. Remove it from heat and cool for about 10 minutes.

7. In a mixing bowl, add 300 grams milk powder, 60 grams all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 90 milliliters ghee, 180 grams yogurt and mix it well to make a soft sough.

8. Take some mixture in your hands and roll it into a ball.

9. Heat sufficient oil in a pot and deep fry these till dark brown and crispy.

10. Dip it in prepared sugar syrup.

11. Soak for about 30 minutes.

12. Serve.
