INGREDIENTS
Split mung beans - 1 tablespoon
Water - 220 milliliters
Butter - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Rice flour - 170 grams
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION
1. Soak 1 teaspoon split mung beans in water for 1 hour.
2. Heat 220 milliliters water in a pan, add 1 teaspoon butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring it to a boil.
3. Add 170 grams rice flour and stir well. Turn off the heat and mix well.
4. Transfer it into a bowl.
5. Add 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds and mix well.
6. Grease your hands with a little oil.
7. Make small sized balls from the mixture.
8. Roll the ball into a slightly thick rope (not too thick) without applying much pressure. Then join the ends together, press the joint and form a ring. (See Video)
9. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet. Deep fry these till they are brown and crispy. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
10. Serve hot.
