Besan Ki Roti & Chutney

INGREDIENTS

(For Chutney)

Garlic - 1 tablespoon

Dry red chili - 6 - 7

Water - 50 milliliters

Oil - 2 tablespoons

Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

(For Besan Roti)

Gram flour - 550 grams

Wheat flour - 300 grams

Red chili - 1 teaspoon

Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Water - 550 milliliters

Oil - 1 teaspoon

Ghee - for brushing

PREPARATION

(For Chutney)

1. In a blender, add 1 tablespoon garlic, 6 - 7 dry red chili, 50 milliliters water and blend it into a smooth paste.

2. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan, add 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds and stir well.

3. Add the blended mixture in it and mix it well. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.

4. Then, add 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix it well.

5. Remove it from heat and keep aside.

(For Besan Roti)

1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except oil and knead it into a smooth soft dough.

2. Rest the dough for 5 minutes and add 1 teaspoon oil. Tuck the dough well.

3. Take a medium size ball from dough and flatten them with a rolling pin to make a roti.

4. Heat a Tava or skillet. Cook the roti till it turns golden brown and flip it to other side.

5. Brush it with ghee and cook till turns golden brown in color.

6. Do the same to other side.

7. Serve hot with prepared chutney.
