Soya chaap - 10
Oil - 3 teaspoons
Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Onion paste - 170 grams
Bay leaf - 2
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Black cardamom - 2
Cloves - 4
Tomato puree - 380 grams
Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Mixed spices powder - 1 tablespoon
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Red chili - 1 tablespoon
Yogurt - 250 grams
Salt - 1 tablespoon
PREPARATION
1. Take a soya chaap and cut it into a small pieces.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet. Deep fry until crispy and golden brown. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
3. Heat 3 tablespoons in a heavy skillet, add 1 tablespoon ginger paste, 1 tablespoon garlic paste and stir well.
4. Add 170 gram onion paste, 2 bay leaf, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 2 black cardamom, 4 cloves and mix well.
5. Add 380 grams tomato puree, 1 tablespoon garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 tablespoon mixed spices powder, 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1 tablespoon red chili and again mix well.
6. Add 250 grams yogurt, 1 tablespoon salt and saute.
7. Add fried soya chaat and mix well. Cook 4 - 5 minutes.
8. Garnish with coriander.
9. Serve hot with chapati.
