Quinoa Apple Kheer

Servings - 4

INGREDIENTS

Water - 500 milliliters
Washed quinoa - 70 grams
Desi ghee - 1 tablespoon
Apple - 70 grams
Milk - 1 litre
Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Saffron - 1/8 teaspoon
Sugar - 60 grams
Pistachios - 1 tablespoon
Saffron - for garnishing
Pistachios - for garnishing

PREPARATION


1. Take a pan, add 500 milliliters water, 70 grams washed quinoa and mix it well.
2. Bring it to a boil. Boil for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
3. Remove it from heat and drain the quinoa. Keep aside.
4. Heat 1 tablespoon desi ghee in a pan, add 70 grams apple and mix it well.
5. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
6. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
7. Take a skillet, add 1 litre milk and stir well. Bring it to a boil.
8. Then, add the boiled quinoa in it and mix it well.
9. Now, add the roasted apple and mix it well.
10. Cook for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
11. Add 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1/8 teaspoon saffron and mix it well.
12. Add 60 grams sugar and mix it well.
13. Bring it to a boil.
14. Add 1 tablespoon pistachios and mix it well.
15. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
16. Remove it from heat.
17. Garnish with pistachios and saffron.
18. Serve.
