INGREDIENTS
Colocasia - 360 grams
Oil - for frying
Oil - 75 milliliters
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
Black cardamom - 1 pod
Onions - 210 grams
Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Mutton - 700 grams
Tomato - 235 grams
Red chili - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - 500 milliliters
Coriander - for garnishing
PREPARATION
1. Wash and peel 360 grams colocasia. Cut it into halves and wash again.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a pot and deep fry these till golden brown and crispy.
3. Drain it on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
4. Heat 75 milliliters oil in a another pot, add 1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 pod black cardamom and stir well.
5. Then, add 210 grams onions and fry till translucent.
6. Add 2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon green chili and saute for 1 - 2 minutes.
7. Add 1./4 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.
8. Now, add 700 grams mutton mix it well.
9. Add 235 grams tomato and mix it well.
10. Cook till it turns soft and pulpy.
11. Then, add 1 1/2 teaspoons red chili, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoons alt and mix it well.
12. Now, add 500 milliliters water and mix it well.
13. Bring it to a boil.
14. Cover it with lid and cook for about 45 minutes on low heat.
15. Open the lid and give it a nice stir .
16. Now, add the fried colocasia in it and mix it well.
17. Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes.
18. Garnish with coriander.
19. Serve hot with roti, naan or rice.
