Homemade Gur Atta Mathri

Servings - 3 - 4

INGREDIENTS

Jaggery - 150 grams

Water - 110 milliliters

Wheat flour - 400 grams

Ghee - 60 grams

Sesame seeds - 30 grams

Oil - for frying

PREPARATION

1. Take a pan, add 150 grams jaggery, 110 milliliters water and mix it well until it fully dissolved. Keep aside.

2. Add 400 grams wheat flour, 60 gram ghee, 30 grams sesame seeds and knead it into a smooth soft dough.

3. Rest the dough for 20 - 25 minutes.

4. Roll the dough ball and give it a round thin shape.

5. Take a circle mould and cut out small circles from it. Prick these circles with a fork.

6. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these till golden brown and crispy.

7. Serve or store in a airtight container once they cool down completely.
