Oats Tikki

INGREDIENTS
Oats - 200 grams
Mashed boiled potatoes - 200 grams
Grated carrot - 80 grams
Green chili - 1 tablespoon
Ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Fennel seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
All purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
Water - 70 milliliters

 

PREPARATION


1. Add 200 grams oats in a pan. Roast them until light brown. Keep aside 100 grams of oats.
2. In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams roasted oats, 200 grams mashed boiled potatoes, 80 grams grated carrot, 1 tablespoon green chili, 1/2 teaspoon ginger, 2 tablespoons coriander, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon salt and mix all the ingredients well to form a smooth dough.
3. Take some mixture on your hand and shape them into round shape.
4. In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons all purpose flour, 70 milliliters water and mix well to make smooth paste.
5. Dip the tikki into all purpose flour paste and then roll them in roasted oats.
6. Heat oil in a pan and place tikki over it.
7. Cook on low or medium heat until golden brown from both sides.
8. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
9. Serve hot with ketchup.
