Rava Stuffed Idli

INGREDIENTS
Oil - 2 teaspoons
Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves - 8 - 10
Ginger - 1 tablespoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Green peas - 50 grams
Boiled potatoes - 300 grams
Dry mango powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Semolina - 270 grams
Yogurt - 370 grams
Water - 50 milliliters
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Fruit salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Water - 1 tablespoon
Oil - for brushing

 

PREPARATION


1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan, add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 8 - 10 curry leaves, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 teaspoon green chili and stir for 2 - 3 minutes.
2. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 50 grams green peas and mix well.
3. Add 300 grams boiled potatoes and mix it well. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.
4. Add 1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1/4 teaspoon garam masala, 1/4 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons coriander and mix all the ingredients well.
5. In a mixing bowl, add 270 grams semolina, 370 grams yogurt, 50 milliliters water, 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
6. Rest the mixture for 10 minutes.
7. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons fruit salt, 1 tablespoon water and mix it well.
8. Grease the idli moulds with oil and pour rava idli batter into each greased idli moulds, Put potatoes stuffing in the the centre and cover it with idli batter.
9. Steam for 10 - 12 minutes or till the idlis are cooked.
10. Cool slightly and demould.
11. Serve hot with sambhar and coconut chutney.
