INGREDIENTS

Oil - 2 tablespoons

Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon

Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon

Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon

Garlic - 1 teaspoon

Ginger - 1 teaspoon

Curry leaves - 7

Onions - 65 grams

Tomato - 90 grams

Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon

Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon

Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon

Sprouted moong amti - 200 grams

Water - 660 milliliters

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Coriander - for garnishing

PREPARATION

1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a heavy pot, add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida and stir well.

2. Add 1 teaspoon garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger, 7 curry leaves and saute till it turns golden brown in color.

3. Now, add 65 grams onions and fry till translucent.

4. Then, add 90 grams tomato and saute till it turns soft and pulpy.

5. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.

6. Then, add 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix it well.

7. Now, add 200 grams sprouted moong amti and mix it well. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.

8. Add 660 milliliters water and mix well.

9. Bring it to a boil.

10. Then, add 1 teaspoon salt and mix it again.

11. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes.

12. Garnish with coriander.

13. Serve.
