Badam Ka Sheera

INGREDIENTS

Almonds - 200 grams
Water - 450 milliliters
Warm milk - 45 milliliters
Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon
Milk - 250 milliliters
Ghee - 45 milliliters
Milk - 180 milliliters
Sugar - 100 grams
Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Almonds - for garnishing

PREPARATION


1. In a bowl, add 200 grams almonds, 450 milliliters water and soak for 6 - 8 hours.
2. Remove it from water and peel the skin of almonds.
3. Transfer this into a blender, add 250 milliliters milk and blend it into a paste.
4. In a bowl, add 45 milliliters warm milk, 1/4 teaspoon saffron and mix it well.
5. Soak for 30 minutes.
6. Heat 45 milliliters ghee in a skillet, add the blended almonds in it and mix it well.
7. Then, add 180 milliliters milk and mix it well.
8. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
9. Now, add 100 grams sugar and mix it well.
10. Cook until the sugar is fully dissolved.
11. Add the soaked saffron milk and mix it well.
12. Cook until the mixture thickens.
13. Add 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder and mix it again.
14. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
15. Remove it from heat.
16. Garnish with almonds.
17. Serve hot.
