Turkish Delight

Servings - 3 - 4

INGREDIENTS
Sugar - 700 grams
Water - 350 milliliters
Lemon juice - 2 teaspoons
Corn flour - 100 grams
Lemon juice - 2 teaspoons
Water - 750 milliliters
Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Organic food color - 1/4 teaspoon
Powdered sugar - 100 grams
Corn flour - 50 grams

PREPARATION


1. Take a skillet, add 700 grams sugar, 350 milliliters water and stir well.
2. Add 2 teaspoons lemon juice and stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved.
3. Bring it to a boil.
4. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
5. Take a another skillet, add 100 grams corn flour, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 750 milliliters water and mix it well.
6. Cook for 40 - 45 minutes on low heat.
7. Then, add the prepared sugar syrup and mix it well.
8. Cook for 15 - 20 minutes on medium heat or until the mixture thickens.
9. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and mix it well.
10. Now, add 1/4 teaspoon organic food color and mix it well.
11. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
12. Remove it from heat and transfer this into a dish.
13. Spread it evenly.
14. Rest it for overnight.
15. Remove it from dish and cut it into pieces.
16. In a bowl, add 100 grams powdered sugar, 50 grams corn flour and mix it well.
17. Coat the pieces properly.
18. Serve.
