Cajun Chicken Pasta

INGREDIENTS

(For Cajun Seasoning)

Onion powder - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Garlic powder - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Salt - 1 tablespoon

Paprika - 1 tablespoon

Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon

Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon

Oregano - 1 teaspoon

Thyme - 1 teaspoon

Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon

(For Boiled Pasta)

Water - 1 litre

Oil - 1 teaspoon

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Pasta - 280 grams

(For Chicken)

Boneless chicken - 500 grams

Prepared cajun seasoning - 4 teaspoons

Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

Black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Butter - 2 tablespoons

(For Cajun Chicken Pasta)

Butter - 2 tablespoons

Onions - 85 grams

Bell pepper - 110 grams

Fresh cream - 300 grams

Smoked paprika - 3/4 teaspoon

Dried basil - 1/2 teaspoon

Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Parmesan cheese - 35 grams

PREPARATION

(For Cajun Seasoning)

1. In a bowl, add all the ingredients and mix it well. Keep aside.

(For Boiled Pasta)

1. Heat 1 litre water in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 280 grams pasta and mix it well.

2. Bring it to a boil.

3. Boil for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.

4. Remove it from heat and drain the pasta well. Keep aside.

(For Chicken)

1. In a mixing bowl, add 500 grams boneless chicken, 4 teaspoons prepared cajun seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder and mix it well.

2. Marinate the chicken for 10 - 15 minutes.

3. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a pan, add the marinated chicken in it and stir well.

4. Cook until it turns golden brown in color from all sides or until the chicken is cooked through.

5. Remove it from heat and keep aside.

(For Cajun Chicken Pasta)

1. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a heavy skillet, add 85 grams onions and fry till translucent.

2. Then, add 110 grams bell pepper and saute for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.

3. Now, add 300 grams fresh cream and mix it well.

4. Bring it to a boil.

5. Add 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder and mix it well.

6. Then, add 35 grams parmesan cheese and mix it again.

7. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.

8. Now, add the boiled pasta, cooked chicken and mix it well.

9. Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.

10. Serve hot.
