Beetroot Pulao

 

Servings - 2 - 3

 

INGREDIENTS
Washed rice - 200 grams

Water - 500 milliliters

Ghee - 30 milliliters

Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon

Cashews - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Almonds - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Green peas - 40 grams

Potatoes - 70 grams

Beetroot - 70 grams

Water - 500 milliliters

Salt - 1 teaspoon

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, add 200 grams washed rice, 500 milliliters water and soak for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat 30 milliliters ghee in a skillet, add 1/2 teaspoon cumin, 1 1/2 teaspoons cashews, 1 1/2 teaspoons almonds and stir for 2 - 3 minutes.
  3. Then, add 40 grams green peas, 70 grams potatoes and mix it well.
  4. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Now, add 70 grams beetroot and mix it well.
  6. Add the soaked rice and mix it well.
  7. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  8. Then, add 500 milliliters water, 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
  9. Cover it with lid and cook for about 15 - 20 minutes on medium heat.
  10. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
  11. Serve hot.
