Cheesy Paneer Square

INGREDIENTS
Butter - 1 tablespoon

Garlic - 1 tablespoon

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

White spring onions - 1 tablespoon

Bell pepper - 100 grams

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon

Paneer - 195 grams

Milk - 35 milliliters

Cheese slices - 3

Green spring onions - 1 tablespoon

Bread slices

Butter - for shallow frying and brushing

Oregano - to taste

Black olives - to taste

 

PREPARATION

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan, add 1 tablespoon garlic and stir well.
  2. Then, add 1 teaspoon green chili, 1 tablespoon white spring onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
  3. Now, add 100 grams bell pepper and mix it well.
  4. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes and mix it wel.
  6. Then, add 195 grams paneer and mix it well.
  7. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  8. Add 35 milliliters milk and mix it well.
  9. Now, add 3 cheese slices and mix it well.
  10. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until the cheese is melted.
  11. Add 1 tablespoon green spring onions and mix it well.
  12. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
  13. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  14. Take a bread slice and cut it’s edges.
  15. Heat some butter on a pan, add the bread slice on it.
  16. Brush it with butter.
  17. Flip it gently.
  18. Cook until it turns golden brown in color from both sides.
  19. Remove it from heat and place it on a board.
  20. Cut it into four equal pieces.
  21. Add the prepared paneer mixture on it.
  22. Sprinkle some oregano on it.
  23. Top with black olive.
  24. Serve.
