Makki Ka Pizza

 

Servings - 2 - 3

 

INGREDIENTS
Maize flour - 250 grams

Wheat flour - 90 grams

Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Oil - 30 milliliters

Water - 350 milliliters

Bell pepper - 140 grams

Sweet corn - 55 grams

Onions - 40 grams

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon

Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon

Pizza sauce - to taste

Mozzarella cheese - to taste

Black olives - to taste

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a mixing bowl, add 250 grams maize flour, 90 grams wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 30 milliliters oil and mix it well.
  2. Add 350 milliliters water and knead it into a smooth soft dough.
  3. Rest the dough for 10 minutes.
  4. In a another mixing bowl, add 140 grams bell pepper, 55 grams sweet corn, 40 grams onions, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes and mix it well.
  5. Take a ball from dough and flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
  6. Cut out a circle from it.
  7. Prick fork on the top of the base.
  8. Place it on a hot tawa and cook on moderate heat for 2 - 3 minutes.
  9. Flip it gently.
  10. Cook until it turns golden brown in color.
  11. Remove it from heat and place it on a board.
  12. Add some pizza sauce on it and spread it evenly.
  13. Add some mozzarella cheese on top of it.
  14. Then, add the prepared veggie mixture on it.
  15. Now, add some black olives.
  16. Again add some mozzarella cheese on it.
  17. Place it on a hot tawa.
  18. Cover it with lid and cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until the cheese is melted.
  19. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
  20. Serve hot.
