Moong Dal Pizza

INGREDIENTS

Split mung beans - 350 grams

Water - 800 milliliters

Oil - 15 milliliters

Onions - 50 grams

Bell pepper - 100 grams

Cherry tomato - 50 grams

Sweet corns - 50 grams

Chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Oregano - 1 teaspoon

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

Green chili - 1 tablespoon

Ginger - 1 tablespoon

Water - 200 milliliters

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Cooked veggies - 2 tablespoons

Coriander - 1 tablespoon

Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon

Oil - for frying

Pizza sauce - to taste

Mozzarella cheese - to taste

Cooked veggies - to taste

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, add 350 grams split mung beans, 800 milliliters water and soak for 2 hours.
  2. Heat 15 milliliters oil in a pan, add 50 grams onions and fry till translucent.
  3. Then, add 100 grams bell pepper, 50 grams cherry tomato, 50 grams sweet corns and mix it well.
  4. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon oregano and mix it well.
  6. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  7. Add 1 teaspoon green chili and mix it well.
  8. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  9. In a blender, add soaked split mung beans, 1 tablespoon green chili, 1 tablespoon ginger, 200 milliliters water and blend it into a puree.
  10. Transfer this into a mixing bowl, add 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons cooked veggies, 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it well.
  11. Rest the batter for 30 minutes.
  12. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and mix it well.
  13. Heat some oil in a pan, add the prepared batter in it and spread it evenly.
  14. Cover it with lid and cook for about 2 - 3 minutes on medium heat.
  15. Open the lid and flip it gently.
  16. Add some pizza sauce on it and spread it evenly.
  17. Add some mozzarella cheese on top of it.
  18. Then, add the cooked veggies on it.
  19. Now, add some mozzarella cheese on top of it.
  20. Again cover it with lid and cook for about 5 minutes on medium heat or until the cheese is melted.
  21. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
  22. Cut it into slices.
  23. Serve hot.
