INGREDIENTS


Baby Corn Manchurianโ€จ

Servings - 2 - 3โ€จ

INGREDIENTS
All purpose flour - 75 grams
Corn flour - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Water - 120 milliliters
Baby corn - 145 grams
Oil - for frying
Oil - 30 milliliters
Garlic - 1 1/2 tablespoons
Ginger - 2 teaspoons
Onions - 80 grams
Green onions - 10 grams
Bell pepper - 130 grams
Vinegar - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Soy sauce - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Red chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar - 1/4 teaspoon
Water - 70 milliliters
Corn flour - 1 1/2 tablespoons
Water - 45 milliliters
Green onions - for garnishingโ€จ

PREPARATION


1. In a mixing bowl, add 75 grams all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons corn flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 120 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
2. Take 145 grams baby corn and cut it into pieces.
3. Dip it in the prepared batter.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
5. Drain it on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
6. Heat 30 milliliters oil in a skillet, add 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic, 2 teaspoons ginger and stir well.
7. Then, add 80 grams onions, 10 grams green onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
8. Now, add 130 grams bell pepper and mix it well.
9. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
10. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar, 1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon sugar and mix it well.
11. Add 70 milliliters water and mix it again.
12. Bring it to a boil.
13. In a bowl, add 1 1/2 tablespoons corn flour, 45 milliliters water and mix it well.
14. Pour the batter into the skillet and mix it well.
15. Now, add the fried baby corn and mix it well.
16. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
17. Remove it from heat.
18. Garnish with green onions.
19. Serve hot.

Ketchup - 40 grams

Schezwan sauce - 40 grams
