  Veg Noodle Potli

INGREDIENTS

Dry yeast - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Sugar - 1 teaspoon
warm water - 75 milliliters

All purpose flour - 200 grams

Water - 100 milliliters

Boiled noodles - 300 grams

Oil -  1 tablespoon

Paneer cubes - 100 grams

Oil - 20 milliliters

Garlic - 1 tablespoon

Onion - 100 grams

Cabbage - 100 grams

Carrot - 40 grams

Bell pepper - 120 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon

Vinegar - 1 teaspoon

Red chilli sauce - 1 teaspoon

Schezwan sauce - 2 tablespoons

spring onion - 1 tablespoon

Butter - for brushing

 

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a mixing bowl add 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar and 75 milliliters.
  2. Whisk it properly .
  3. Keep aside and rest for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, add 200 grams all purpose flour, 100 milliliters water mix and knead it to a smooth dough.
  5. Rest the dough for 1 hour.
  6. In a pan , heat 1 tablespoon oil, add 100 grams paneer cubes and shallow fry for 4-5 minutes .
  7. Remove the pan from heat.
  8. In another pan , heat 20 milliliters oil ,add 1 tablespoon garlic, 100 grams onion and stir well.
  9. Then, add 100 grams cabbage, mix once then add 40 grams carrot, 120 grams bell pepper, stir once then add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well.
  10. Now , add 1 teaspoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon red chilli sauce, 2 tablespoons schezwan sauce and give it a nice stir.
  11. Now, add shallow fried paneer cubes . Give it a mix.
  12. Add boiled noodles, mix and add 1 tablespoon spring onions.
  13. Stir well and cook on the low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  14. Remove the wok from heat.
  15. Dust some flour over the flat surface, and take a small ball from dough.
  16. Flatten it with a help of rolling pin.
  17. Place prepared noodles over it.
  18. Close the dough properly to make a potli. (See video)
  19. Place it in a baking tray and brush it with butter .
  20. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Bake for about 25 - 30 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color.
  21. After this, take out the potli ’s from oven and cut the top part with a sharp knife.
  22. Serve hot.
