Sprout Dhokla

INGREDIENTS

Sprout mung beans - 135 grams

Spinach - 45 grams

Green chili - 3

Water - 60 milliliters

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Gram flour - 2 tablespoons

Water - 30 milliliters

Fruit salt - 1 teaspoon

Water - 2 teaspoons

Oil - for greasing

Oil - 1 tablespoon

Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Asafoetida - 1/2 teaspoon

Curry leaves - 3 - 4

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

PREPARATION

1. In a blender, add 135 grams sprout mung beans, 45 grams spinach, 3 green chili, 60 milliliters water and blend it into a smooth puree.

2. Transfer this mixture into a bowl, add 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons gram flour, 30 milliliters water and mix it well.

3. Add 1 teaspoon fruit salt, 2 teaspoons water and mix it well again.

4. Grease the steamer dish with oil.

5. Pour the mixture into it.

6. Place it on a steamer. Steam for 10 - 12 minutes or until done.

7. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, add 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida, 3 - 4 curry leaves, 1 teaspoon green chili and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.

8. Pour this tempering over the dhoklas, cool slightly and cut into equal square shaped pieces.

9. Serve immediately.
