Oats Sandwich

Servings - 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS
Oats - 125 grams
Water - 400 milliliters
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Onions - 130 grams
Tomato - 145 grams
Bell pepper - 180 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Boiled mashed potatoes - 150 grams
Mint - 1 tablespoon
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Bread slices
Ketchup - to taste
Butter - for brushing & grilling

PREPARATION


1. In a bowl, add 125 grams oats, 400 milliliters water and soak for 2 - 3 minutes.
2. Drain the oats and keep aside.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, add 1 teaspoon green chili and stir well.
4. Then, add 130 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
5. Now, add 145 grams tomato, 180 grams bell pepper and mix it well.
6. Cook for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
7. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix it well.
8. Then, add the soaked oats and mix it well.
9. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
10. Now, add 150 grams boiled mashed potatoes and mix it well.
11. Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
12. Add 1 tablespoon mint, 2 tablespoons coriander and mix it well.
13. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
14. Take a bread slice and spread some ketchup on it.
15. Add the prepared mixture on it and spared it evenly.
16. Cover it with another slice of bread.
17. Place it on a grill machine.
18. Bruhs it with butter.
19. Cover it with lid and grill for about 5 - 7 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color.
20. Open the lid and remove it from grill machine.
21. Cut it into half.
22. Serve hot.
