INGREDIENTS
Desi ghee - 2 tablespoons
Cumin - 1/4 teaspoon
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Turnip - 500 grams
Water 250 milliliters ( divided )
Green peas - 100 grams
Tomatoes - 250 grams
Green chili - 1 tablespoon
Desi ghee - 2 teaspoons
Cumin 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/8 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
Coriander - 1teaspoon
PREPARATION
1. In a pressure cooker, heat 2 tablespoons desi ghee, 1/4 cumin, 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida, mix once then add, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 500 grams sliced turnips and combine all together.
2. Now, add 100 millilters water cover the lid and wait until 2 whistles.
3. After whistles, release the pressure and mash the turnips using masher.
4. In a pan, add 150 milliliters water, 100 grams green peas and allow it to boil.
5. In a mixing bowl, add 250 grams tomatoes, 1 tablespoon green chili pour it in blender.
6. Blent it to a thick puree.
7. Heat the pan, add 2 teaspoons desi ghee ,1/2 teaspoon cumin,1/2 teaspoon ginger, mix once then add, blended tomato puree, stir and cook it for few seconds.
8. Now add, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder mix it well.
9. After this, put 1/2 teaspoon sugar, boiled green peas and stir it properly .
10. Cover the lid and let it cook for 2 minutes.
11. Now, remove the lid, stir once and add prepared turnip mixture.
12. Mix all together and let it cook for a while.
13. After this, add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix well.
14. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon coriander at last. Stir once.
15. Serve hot.
