Balti Chicken

INGREDIENTS
Oil - 50 milliliters
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Cloves - 6 pods
Blade mace - 1
Green cardamom - 8 pods
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
Black cardamom - 2
Onions - 200 grams
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tablespoons
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Red chilli - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Tomatoes - 250 grams
Yogurt - 200 grams
Chicken - 600 grams
Water - 700 milliliters

 

PREPARATION


1. Heat 50 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 6 pods cloves, 1 blade mace, 8 pods green cardamom, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 2 black cardamom and stir.
2. Add 200 grams onions and stir until they brown.
3. Add 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon red chilli, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon coriander powder and mix well.
4. Add 250 grams tomato, 200 grams yogurt and mix well to combine.
5. Add 600 grams chicken and mix.
6. Add 700 milliliters water and cook for 13 - 15 minutes.
7. Serve.
