Chilli Chana

INGREDIENTS

Boiled chickpeas - 500 grams

Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Corn flour - 70 grams

Oil - for frying

Oil - 2 tablespoons

Garlic - 2 teaspoons

Ginger - 2 teaspoons
Green chili - 2

Spring onions - 40 grams

Onions - 50 grams

Bell pepper - 120 grams

Chili sauce - 2 teaspoons

Ketchup - 55 grams

Vinegar - 45 milliliters

Soy sauce - 45 milliliters

Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Spring onions - for garnishing

PREPARATION

1. In a mixing bowl, add 500 grams boiled chickpeas, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, 70 grams corn flour and mix it well.

2. Heat sufficient oil in a pot and deep fry these till golden brown and crispy.

3. Drain it on an absorbent paper. Keep aside.

4. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add 2 teaspoons garlic, 2 teaspoons ginger and saute for 2 - 3 minutes or till golden brown in color.

5. Add 2 green chili and stir well.

6. Then, add 40 grams spring onions and fry till translucent.

7. Now, add 50 grams onions, 120 grams bell pepper and saute the veggies for 3 - 5 minutes.

8. Add 2 teaspoons chili sauce, 55 grams ketchup, 45 milliliters vinegar, 45 milliliters soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix it well.

9. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.

10. Now, add the fried chickpeas in it and mix it well.

11. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes.

12. Garnish with spring onions.

13. Serve hot.
