Crispy Fried Falafel
Servings 3 - 4

 

INGREDIENTS
Soaked chickpeas - 350 grams
Onions - 60 grams
Garlic - 2 tablespoons
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
All purpose flour - 30 grams
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Mayonnaise - 80 grams
Mint chutney - 1 teaspoon

 

PREPARATION


1. In a mixing bowl, add 350 grams soaked chickpeas, 60 grams onions, 2 tablespoons garlic, 2 tablespoons coriander, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 30 grams all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and mix well to combine. Freeze 2 hours.
2. Take a small amount of mixture and make a small balls.
3. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet. Deep fry until crispy and golden brown. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
4. In a mixing bowl, add 80 grams mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon mint chutney and mix well.
5. Serve hot and enjoy.
