INGREDIENTS
White cake mix - 500 grams
Oil - 40 milliliters
Water - 250 milliliters
Organic red food color - 1/4 teaspoon
Organic blue food color - 1/4 teaspoon
Icing sugar - 500 grams
Butter - 250 grams
Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
Milk - 45 milliliters
Organic red food color - 1/4 teaspoon
Organic blue food color - 1/4 teaspoon
White sprinkles - for decorating
Blue sprinkles - for decorating
Red sprinkles - for decorating
Sugar stars - for decorating
PREPARATION
1. In a mixing bowl, add 500 grams white cake mix, 40 milliliters oil, 250 milliliters water and mix it well.
2. Divide the batter in three bowls, add 1/4 teaspoon organic red food color, 1/4 teaspoon organic blue food color in two bowls and mix it well.
3. Pour red cake batter into bottom of pan. Carefully pour the white batter over red batter in pan.
4. Carefully pour blue batter over white batter. (The blue batter does not need to cover the white batter completely).
5. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes.
6. Remove it from oven and cool it completely.
7. In a mixing bowl, add 500 grams icing sugar, 250 grams butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 45 milliliters milk and whisk it well.
8. Divide the frosting in three bowls, add 1/4 teaspoon organic red food color, 1/4 teaspoon organic blue food color in two bowls and mix it well.
9. Microwave for 15 seconds or until smooth.
10. Drizzle the frosting over the cake.
11. Decorate it with sprinkles.
12. Cool for 30 minutes at room temperature.
13. Cut it into slices.
