Oreo Gulab Jamun

INGREDIENTS
Warm milk - 1 tablespoon

Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon

Oreo biscuits - 10 - 12

Cashew powder - 2 tablespoons

Milk powder - 2 tablespoons

Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon

Milk - 45 milliliters

Sugar - 350 grams

Water - 300 milliliters

Green cardamom - 2 pods

Oil - for frying

Pistachios - for garnishing

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon warm milk, 1/4 teaspoon saffron and mix it well.
  2. Soak for 30 minutes.
  3. Take 10 - 12 oreo biscuits and separate the cream from it.
  4. Transfer this into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons cashew powder, saffron milk and mix it well.
  5. Add the biscuits in a blender and blend it into a fine powder.
  6. Transfer this into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons milk powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and mix it well.
  7. Add 45 milliliters milk and mix it well.
  8. Take some mixture in your hands and flatten it with the help of your fingers.
  9. Add the prepared stuffing in it and roll it into a ball. Keep aside.
  10. Take a skillet, add 350 grams sugar, 300 milliliters water, 2 pods green cardamom and stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  11. Bring it to a boil.
  12. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  13. Heat sufficient oil in a skillet and deep fry the oreo gulab jamun in it.
  14. Remove it from heat and dip this into the prepared sugar syrup.
  15. Soak for about 5 minutes.
  16. Garnish with pistachios.
  17. Serve.
