Chicken Bread Cones

INGREDIENTS

Oil - 1 tablespoon

Onions - 40 grams

Bell pepper - 135 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Red chili - 1/4 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Cayenne powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Onion powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Boiled shredded chicken - 430 grams

Coriander - 2 tablespoons

All purpose flour - 160 grams

Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Water - 300 milliliters

Corn flour - 2 teaspoons

Water - 40 milliliters

Bread slices

Cheddar cheese - to taste

Bread crumbs - for coating

Oil - for frying

 

PREPARATION

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet, add 40 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
  2. Then, add 135 grams bell pepper and mix it well.
  3. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon red chili, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder and mix it well.
  5. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Now, add 430 grams boiled shredded chicken, 2 tablespoons coriander and mix it well.
  7. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
  8. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  9. In a mixing bowl, add 160 grams all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and mix it well.
  10. Add 300 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
  11. In a bowler dd 2 teaspoons corn flour, 40 milliliters water and mix it well.
  12. Take a bread slice and cut it’s sides.
  13. Flatten it with the help a rolling pin.
  14. Brush one side with prepared corn flour batter.
  15. Now, make a cone of it.
  16. Fill it with prepared chicken mixture and add some cheddar cheese in it.
  17. Brush the top of the cone with prepared batter and seal it properly.
  18. Dip it in the prepared all purpose flour batter and then roll it in bread crumbs properly.
  19. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
  20. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
  21. Cut it into half.
  22. Serve hot with ketchup.
