Indian Style Turkey Gravy

INGREDIENTS

U.S. turkey - 1 kilogram

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon

Red chili - 1 teaspoon

Water - 500 milliliters

Oil - 50 milliliters

Cumin - 1 teaspoon

Onion paste - 400 grams

Ginger garlic paste - 2 tablespoons

Green chili - 2 tablespoons

Red chili paste - 1 teaspoon

Tomato puree - 400 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Red chili - 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon

Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon

Fennel powder - 1 teaspoon

Water - 250 milliliters

Garam masala - 1 tablespoon

Coriander - 1 tablespoon

 

PREPARATION

  1. Take a pressure cooker, add 1 kilogram u.s. turkey, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon red chili, 500 milliliters water and mix it well.
  2. Cover it with lid and cook until you hear 3 - 4 whistles.
  3. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
  4. Heat 50 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well.
  5. Then, add 400 grams onion paste and mix it well.
  6. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until it turns golden brown in color.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste, 2 tablespoons green chili, 1 teaspoon red chili paste and mix it well.
  8. Now, add 400 grams tomato puree and mix it well.
  9. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  10. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1 tablespoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon fennel powder and mix it well.
  11. Cover it with lid and cook for about 10 - 15 minutes on medium heat.
  12. Open the lid and give it a nice stir.
  13. Then, add the cooked turkey in it and mix it well.
  14. Now, add 250 milliliters water and mix it well.
  15. Again cover it with lid and cook for about 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  16. Open the lid, add 1 tablespoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it well.
  17. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
  18. Remove it from heat.
  19. Garnish with coriander.
  20. Serve hot.
