INGREDIENTS


 Keema Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers

Servings - 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS

Oil - 35 milliliters
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Green chili - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Onions - 150 grams
Chicken keema - 370 grams
Tomato - 180 grams
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons
Dry mango powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Boiled green peas - 80 grams
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Gram flour - 200 grams
Carom seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
Water - 220 milliliters
Jalapeños - 260 grams
Oil - for frying

PREPARATION


1. Heat 35 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 1/2 teaspoons green chili, 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste and stir for 2 - 3 minutes.
2. Then, add 150 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
3. Now, add 370 grams chicken keema and mix it well.
4. Cook for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
5. Add 180 grams tomato and mix it well.
6. Cover it with lid and cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
7. Open the lid and give it a nice stir.
8. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric and mix it well.
9. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, 1 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and mix it well.
10. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
11. Then, add 80 grams boiled green peas and mix it well.
12. Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
13. Add 2 tablespoons coriander and mix it well.
14. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
15. In a mixing bowl, add 200 grams gram flour, 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and mix it well.
16. Add 220 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
17. Rest the batter for 7 - 10 minutes.
18. Take a jalapeno and make a cut from top to bottom.
19. Remove the seeds from it.
20. Fill it with prepared chicken mixture.
21. Dip it in the gram flour batter.
22. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
23. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
24. Serve hot.
