Orange Chicken Burrito

INGREDIENTS

Butter - 1 tablespoon

Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon

Carrots - 75 grams

Cabbage - 70 grams

Kosher salt - 1 teaspoon

Soy sauce - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Boiled rice - 270 grams

Eggs - 2

All purpose flour - 140 grams

Corn flour - 50 grams

Kosher salt - 1 teaspoon

Egg - 1

Water - 250 milliliters

Boneless chicken - 370 grams

Oil - for frying

Oil - 30 milliliters

Ginger - 2 teaspoons

Garlic - 2 teaspoons

Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon

Orange juice - 200 milliliters

Powdered sugar - 40 grams

Vinegar - 60 milliliters

Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons

Corn flour - 1 1/2 tablespoons

Water - 60 milliliters

Water - 500 milliliters

Broccoli - 130 grams

Sriracha sauce - 1 1/2 tablespoons

Oyster sauce - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Mayonnaise - 1 1/2 tablespoons

Tortilla

 

PREPARATION

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a skillet, add 75 grams carrots, 70 grams cabbage and mix it well.
  2. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce and mix it well.
  4. Then, add 270 grams boiled rice and mix it well.
  5. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Now, ad 2 eggs in it and mix it well.
  7. Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  8. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  9. In a mixing bowl, add 140 grams all purpose flour, 50 grams corn flour, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 egg and mix it well.
  10. Add 250 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
  11. Then, add 370 grams boneless chicken and mix it well.
  12. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  13. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
  14. Drain it on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  15. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet, add 2 teaspoons ginger, 2 teaspoons garlic, 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes and stir well.
  16. Now, add 200 milliliters orange juice and stir well.
  17. Add 40 grams powdered sugar and mix it well.
  18. Add 60 milliliters vinegar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce and mix it again.
  19. Bring it to a boil.
  20. In a bowl, add 1 1/2 tablespoons corn flour, 60 milliliters water and mix it well.
  21. Pour the mixture into the skillet and mix it well.
  22. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
  23. Now, add the fried chicken and mix it well.
  24. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  25. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  26. Take a pan, add 500 milliliters water, 130 grams broccoli and mix it well.
  27. Bring it to a boil.
  28. Boil for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
  29. Remove it from heat and drain the broccoli.
  30. Transfer this into a bowl, add 1 1/2 tablespoons sriracha sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons oyster sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise and mix it well.
  31. Take a tortilla, add the cooked rice on it.
  32. Then, add the broccoli mixture on top of it.
  33. Now, add the cooked orange chicken on it.
  34. Roll it like a burrito.
  35. Cover it with aluminium foil.
  36. Cut it into half.
  37. Serve.
