Moong Dal Toast

Servings - 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS
Split mung beans - 155 grams
Water - 500 milliliters
Green chili - 1
Ginger - 1 tablespoon
Water - 60 milliliters
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Gram flour - 1 tablespoon
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Bread slices
Oil - for shallow frying

PREPARARION
1. In a bowl, add 155 grams split mung beans, 500 milliliters water and soak for 8 hours.
2. Transfer this into a blender, add 1 green chili, 1 tablespoon ginger, 60 milliliters water and blend it into a smooth paste.
3. Transfer this into a mixing bowl, add 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1 tablespoon gram flour, 2 tablespoons coriander and mix all the ingredients well.
4. Take a bread slice and spread the mixture evenly on it.
5. Heat some oil in a pan and place the bread slice on it.
6. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes on medium heat.
7. Flip it gently.
8. Cook until it turns golden brown in color from both sides.
9. Cut it into half.
10. Serve hot with ketchup.

Besan Bread Toast

Servings - 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS
Gram flour - 120 grams
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
Carom seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Dry mango powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Ginger paste - 1/4 teaspoon
Onions - 25 grams
Bell pepper - 25 grams
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
Water - 125 milliliters
Bread slices
Oil - for shallow frying

PREPARATION


1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except bread slices and mix it well to make thick batter.
2. Take a bread slice and spread the mixture on it.
3. Heat some oil on a pan, place the bread slice down where the batter is spread.
4. Now, spread the batter on other side of the bread.
5. Toast it on low heat.
6. Flip over and cook till both sides are golden brown and crispy.
7. Cut it into half.
8. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
