Chana Dal Tikki

Servings - 3-4

INGREDIENTS 

Soaked brown chickpeas - 250 grams

Onions - 50 grams

Ginger - 1 tablespoon 

Green chili - 1 tablespoon 

Red chili - 1 teaspoon 

Fennel - 1 teaspoon

Cumin - 1 teaspoon 

Salt - 1 teaspoon

PREPARATION

 

1. Take a mixer, add 250 grams soaked brown chickpeas and blend in mixer to make paste.

2. Transfer into a bowl, add 50 grams onions, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 tablespoon green chili, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon fennel, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon salt and mix well.

3. Shape the mixture into equal sized balls and flatten them slightly to make tikkis.

4. Place the tikkis in the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till crisp from both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.

5. Serve with mint sauce or ketchup.

6. Enjoy.
