Prawns - 340 grams
Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
Egg white - 2
Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
Vinegar - 2 teaspoons
Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Corn flour - 2 tablespoons
Corn flour - for coating
Oil - for frying
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Ginger - 1 tablespoon
Onions - 50 grams
Red chili paste - 1 tablespoon
Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
Soy sauce - 2 teaspoons
Vinegar - 1 teaspoon
Honey - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Water - 200 milliliters
Corn flour - 1 tablespoon
Water - 40 milliliters
Basil - 1 tablespoon
Coriander - for garnishing
PREPARATION
1. Take 340 grams prawns and make a cut from the center.
2. Transfer this into a mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon garlic paste, 1 tablespoon ginger paste, 2 egg whites, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, 2 teaspoons vinegar, 1 teaspoon fish sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt,
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoons corn flour and mix it well.
3. Marinate for 10 - 15 minutes.
4. Take a marinate prawns and coat it with corn flour properly.
5. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove it from heat and drain it on an absorbent paper.
7. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet, add 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger and stir well.
8. Then, add 50 grams onions and fry till translucent.
9. Add 1 tablespoon red chili paste, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey and mix it well.
10. Add 1/4 teaspoons alt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and mix it again.
11. Now, add 200 milliliters water and mix it again.
12. Bring it to a boil.
13. In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon corn flour, 40 milliliters water and mix it well.
14. Pour the mixture into the skillet and mix it well.
15. Bring it to a boil and cook until the mixture thickens.
16. Now, add the fried prawns in it and mix it well.
17. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
18. Add 1 tablespoon basil and mix it well.
19. Remove it from heat.
20. Garnish with coriander.
21. Serve.
