Corn & Cheese Wontons

INGREDIENTS
(For Sauce)
Water - 150 milliliters
Brown sugar - 40 grams
Ketchup - 55 grams
Red chilli sauce - 1 tablespoon
Soy sauce - 2 teaspoons
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
White pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Corn starch - 2 teaspoons
Water - 2 tablespoons
(For Dough)
All purpose flour - 250 grasm
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - 120 milliliters
(For Stuffing)
Processed cheese - 150 grams
Sweet corn - 165 grams
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - for brushing
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION
(For Sauce)
1. Take a pan, add 150 milliliters water, 40 grams brown sugar and stir well.
2. Then, add 55 grams ketchup, 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce, 2 teaspoons soy sauce and mix it well.
3. Now, add 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder and mix it again.
4. Bring it to a boil.
5. In a bowl, add 2 teaspoons corn starch, 2 tablespoons water and mix it well.
6. Add this into the pan and mix it well.
7. Cook until the sauce thickens.
8. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
(For Dough)
1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and knead it into a smooth soft dough.
2. Rest the dough for 20 minutes.
(For Stuffing)
1. In a mixing bowl, add 150 grams processed cheese, 165 grams sweet corn, 1 teaspoon green chili, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder and mix all the ingredients well.
(Rest of the Preparation)
1. Take a ball from dough and flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
2. Cut it’s sides to make a square.
3. Add a teaspoon of prepared stuffing on it.
4. Brush the edges with water.
5. Now, seal the edges by making a triangle shape.
6. Fold the edges with each other to make a wonton. (See Video)
7. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
8. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
9. Serve hot with prepared sauce.
