Dry Chilli Paneer

Servings - 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS

Paneer - 370 grams

All purpose flour - 30 grams

Corn flour - 45 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Water - 80 milliliters

Oil - for shallow frying

Oil - 2 tablespoons

Ginger - 1 tablespoon

Garlic - 1 tablespoon

Green chili - 1 tablespoon

Onions - 90 grams

Bell pepper - 250 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon

Ketchup - 2 tablespoons

Red chilli sauce - 1 tablespoon

Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon

Vinegar - 1/2 tablespoon

Corn flour - 1 tablespoon

Water - 50 milliliters

Spring onions - for garnishing

PREPARATION

1. Take 370 grams paneer and cut it into cubes. Keep aside.

2. In a mixing bowl, add 45 grams corn flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 80 milliliters water and mix it well to make a batter.

3. Now, dip the paneer cubes in it and coat the pieces well.

4. Heat some oil in a pan and shallow fry these until golden brown and crispy from all sides.

5. Remove it from heat and drain it on an absorbent paper. Keep aside.

6. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon green chili and saute for 1 - 2 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color.

7. Then, add 90 grams onions, 250 grams bell pepper an saute the veggies for 7 - 10 minutes on medium heat.

8. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and mix it well.

9. Now, add 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon vinegar and mxi it well.

10. Add the fried paneer cubes in it and give it a nice stir.

11. In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon corn flour, 50 milliliters water and mix it well.

12. Pour the mixture into the pan and mix it well.

13. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on low heat.

14. Garnish with spring onions.

15. Serve.
