Egg Puffs

Servings 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS

All purpose flour - 300 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Butter - 1 tablespoon

Water - 110 milliliters

Oil - 2 teaspoons

Cumin - 1 teaspoon

Onions - 35 grams

Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon

Chana masala - 1 teaspoon

Boiled eggs - 4

All purpose flour - for dusting

Butter - for brushing

PREPARATION

1. In a mixing bowl, add 300 grams all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon butter and mix it well.

2. Add 110 milliliters water and knead it into a smooth soft dough.

3. Rest the dough for 20 minutes.

4. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a pan, add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well.

5. Add 35 grams onions and fry till translucent.

6. Then, add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon chana masala and mix it well.

7. Add 4 boiled eggs and mix it well.

8. Take a dough ball and roll out the dough into a large thick round shape.

9. Brush it with butter, sprinkle all purpose flour and fold the two ends.

10. Again repeat the butter and all purpose flour process and fold them again. Do this process one more time and them with a rolling pin.

11. Repeat the 9th and 10th point 3 - 4 times.

12. Cut them in long rectangle shape.

13. Put half piece of egg on top, hold the corners and put them together. (See Video)

14. Pinch the sides gently so that they don’t open while baking.

15. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.

16. Serve.
