Fish Balls

Servings - 19

INGREDIENTS
Basa fish - 430 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Water - 800 milliliters
Oil - 2 teaspoons
Garlic - 2 teaspoons
Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Onions - 50 grams
Boiled mashed potatoes - 100 grams
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
Oregano - 1/4 teaspoon
Parsley - 1 teaspoon
All purpose flour - 50 grams
Corn flour - 2 teaspoons
Water - 120 milliliters
Bread crumbs - for coating
Oil - for frying
Mayonnaise - 60 grams
Schezwan sauce - 1 teaspoon
Chilli flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
Dried parsley - 1/4 teaspoon

PREPARATION


1. In a mixing bowl, add 430 grams basa fish, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric and mix it well.
2. Mariante for 15 minutes.
3. Take a pan, add 800 milliliters water, marinated fish and mix it well.
4. Bring it to a boil.
5. Remove it from heat and drain the fish.
6. Transfer this into a blender and blend it well. Keep aside.
7. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a skillet, add 2 teaspoons garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger and stir well.
8. Then, add 50 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
9. Add 100 grams boiled mashed potatoes and mix it well.
10. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
11. Now, add the blended fish, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1/4 teaspoon oregano and mix it well.
12. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
13. Add 1 teaspoon parsley and mix it well.
14. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
15. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
16. In a bowl, add 50 grams all purpose flour, 2 teaspoons corn flour, 120 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
17. Take some mixture oil your hands and shape it into a ball.
18. Dip it in the prepared batter and then roll it in bread crumbs properly.
19. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
20. Drain it on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
21. In a bowl, add 60 grams mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon schezwan sauce, 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley and mix it well.
22. Serve with prepared fish balls.
