Healthy Oats Tikki Chaat

INGREDIENTS

Oats - 100 grams

Hot water - 250 milliliters

Boiled mashed potato - 100 grams

Semolina - 60 grams

Onion - 50 grams

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

Ginger - 1 teaspoon

Carrot - 20 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander - 1 tablespoon

Oil - for shallow frying

 

( For Green Chutney )

Coriander - 20 grams

Mint - 15 grams

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

Garlic - 1 teaspoon

Spring onion - 2 tablespoons

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Black salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Cumin - 1 teaspoon

Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Water - 45 milliliters

Yogurt - 150 grams

Black salt - 1/4 teaspoon

Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Tamarind chutney - for garnish

Sev - for garnish

Pomegranate - for garnish

Coriander - for garnish

PREPARATION

  1. In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams oats, 250 milliliters hot water and soak for 15 minutes.
  2. Now, add 100 grams mashed boiled potatoes in soaked oats. Mix well.
  3. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  4. In a heated pan , dry roast 60 grams semolina and keep aside.
  5. Take out soaked oats and potatoes in bowl, add roasted semolina, 50 grams onion, 1 teaspoon green chili, 1 teaspoon ginger, 20 grams carrot, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder and 1 tablespoon coriander, and mix well.
  6. Take a small portion from the mixture and shape it into a tikki.
  7. Heat oil in a pan , and shallow fry  prepared tikki’s.
  8. In a bowl, add 20 grams coriander, 15 grams mint, 1 teaspoon green chili, 1 teaspoon garlic, 2 tablespoon spring onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black salt, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 45 milliliters water.
  9. Transfer this into blender and blend it to a smooth paste.
  10. In a bowl, add 150 grams yogurt, 1/4 teaspoon black salt, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and mix well.
  11. Now, bring prepared tikki , pour prepared yogurt, prepared green chutney.
  12. Now, add tamarind chutney.
  13. Top it with sev, pomegranate  and chopped coriander.
  14. Serve immediately.
