 Low Calorie Sugar Semiya Payasam

Servings - 3 - 4

INGREDIENTS

Ghee - 35 grams

Semiya - 200 grams

Ghee - 10 milliliters

Cashews - 40 grams

Raisins - 35 grams

Milk - 1 litre

Equal sugar - 12 grams

Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon

Pistachios - for garnishing

PREPARATION

1. Heat 35 milliliters ghee in a pan, add 200 grams semiya and roast until it turns brown in color.

2. Remove it from heat and keep aside.

3. Heat 10 milliliters ghee in a another pan, add 40 grams cashews and roast until it turns golden brown in color.

4. Add 35 grams raisins and cook for 2 - 3 minutes on medium heat.

5. Remove it from heat and keep aside.

6. Heat 1 litre milk in a skillet, add the roasted semiya in it and mix it well.

7. Bring it to a boil.

8. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.

9. Then, add 12 grams equal sugar and mix it well.

10. Add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1/4 teaspoon saffron and mix it agin.

11. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.

12. Now, add the roasted cashews and raisins and mix it well.

13. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.

14. Remove it from heat.

15. Garnish with pistachios.

16. Serve.
