Makki Methi Puri

INGREDIENTS

Water - 500 milliliters

Fenugreek - 25 grams

Corn meal - 150 grams

Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Green chili - 1 tablespoon

Grated ginger - 1 tablespoon

Onions - 40 grams

Fenugreek water

Water - for greasing

Oil - for frying

PREPARATION

1. Heat 500 milliliters water in a skillet, add 25 grams fenugreek and mix well. Bring it to a boil. Keep aside and strain them well.

2. In a mixing bowl, add 150 grams corn meal, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 tablespoon green chili, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, boiled fenugreek, 40 grams onions and mix it well.

3. Add the remaining fenugreek water and knead it into a dough.

4. Grease your palms with water and take a small portion from dough.

5. Roll it with both hands to give it a shape of Puri. (See video)

6. Heat sufficient oil in a skillet and deep fry these till golden brown and crispy.

7. Serve.
