Butter - 1 tablespoon
Onions - 30 grams
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Butter - 1 tablespoon
Green chili - 2 teaspoons
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Green peas - 175 grams
Mint - 2 tablespoons
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Boiled grated potatoes - 250 grams
Grated paneer - 240 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
Bread crumbs - 40 grams
Oil - for shallow frying
Burger bun
Mayonnaise - to taste
Lettuce - to taste
Tomato slices - to taste
Ketchup - to taste
PREPARATION
1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan, add 30 grams onions, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
2. Keep aside.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a another pan, add 2 teaspoons green chili, 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida and stir well.
4. Add 1 teaspoon red chili and stir again.
5. Then, add 175 grams green peas and mix it well.
6. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
7. Transfer this into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons mint, 2 tablespoons coriander, 250 grams boiled grated potatoes, 240 grams grated paneer, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 40 grams bread crumbs and mix all the ingredients well.
8. Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a tikki.
9. Heat some oil in a pan, add the prepared tikki on it.
10. Cook until it turns dark brown and crispy from both sides.
11. Remove it form heat and drain it on an absorbent paper. Keep aside.
12. Heat the burger bun for 1 - 2 minutes on a pan.
13. Then, place it on a board.
14. Spread some mayonnaise on the bun.
15. Place a lettuce, tomato slices, prepared tikki and prepared fried onions.
16. Take the other bun and spread ketchup on it.
17. Place it on the top of the tikki.
18. Serve hot.
