Matar Samosa Chaat
Servings - 3 - 4

 

INGREDIENTS
Ghee - 2 tablespoons
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Green chili sauce - 1 teaspoon
Green peas - 135 grams
Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/4 teaspoon
Dry mango powder - 2 teaspoons
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon 
Water - 2 tablespoons
Spring roll sheets
Yogurt - to taste
Cumin powder - to taste
Tamarind chutney - to taste
Green chutney - to taste
Onions - to taste
Chaat masala - to taste
Red chili - to taste
Black pepper - to taste
Sev - to taste
Coriander - to taste

 

PREPARATION


1. Heat 2 tablespoons ghee in a pan, add 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon green chili sauce and stir. Add 135 grams green peas and stir again.
2. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1/4 teaspoon red chili, 2 teaspoons dry mango powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix well.
3. Cook this mixture till the pea becomes dry. Mash them well.
4. To make flour paste, add 1 tablespoon all purpose flour , 2 tablespoons water and mix well to combine.
5. Take a spring roll sheet shape it into a cone shape. ( see video)
6. Place the peas mixture in it and brush the edges of the sheet with all purpose flour paste.
7. Now seal the edges and make it in a triangle shape.
8. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet. Deep fry until crispy and golden brown. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
9. In a plate, arrange the samosa and drizzle them with yogurt, sprinkle some cumin powder over it.
10. Top with tamarind chutney and green chutney.
11. Garnish with onions and sprinkle some chaat masala, red chili, black pepper over it.
12. Garnish with sev and coriander.
13. Serve and enjoy!
