INGREDIENTS

Sprouted moth beans - 250 grams
Water - 1 litre
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander seeds - 1 teaspoon
Dry red chili - 3
Coconut - 50 grams
Oil - 2 teaspoons
Ginger - 2 teaspoons
Garlic - 2 teaspoons
Onions - 150 grams
Tomato - 250 grams
Water - 200 milliliters
Oil - 30 milliliters
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Paprika - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Goda masala - 1 teaspoon
Water - 200 milliliters
Jaggery - 1 tablespoon
Butter - 1 teaspoon
Pav buns
Onions - to taste
Coriander - to taste
Lemon juice - to taste
Sev - to taste

PREPARATION


1. Take a pressure cooker, add 250 grams sprouted moth beans, 1 litre water, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric and mix it well.
2. Cover it with lid and cook until you hear 1 whistle.
3. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
4. Take a pan, add 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, 3 dry red chili, 50 grams coconut and dry roast for 3 - 5 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color.
5. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
6. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a another pan, add 2 teaspoons ginger, 2 teaspoons garlic and stir for 1 - 2 minutes.
7. Then, add 150 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
8. Now, add 250 grams tomato and mix it well.
9. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
10. Add 200 milliliters water and mix it well.
11. Bring it to a boil.
12. Remove it from heat and allow it cool for about 5 - 7 minutes.
13. Transfer this into a blender, add the coconut mixture and blend it into a paste.
14. Heat 30 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon curry leaves and stir for 1 - 2 minutes.
15. Then, add the blended puree and mix it well.
16. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
17. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.
18. Add 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon goda masala and mix it well.
19. Now, add the boiled sprouted moth beans and mix it well.
20. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
21. Add 200 milliliters water and mix it well.
22. Cover it with lid and cook for about 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
23. Open the lid and give it a nice stir.
24. Add 1 tablespoon jaggery and mix it well.
25. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
26. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
27. Heat 1 teaspoon butter on a tawa and place the pav buns on it.
28. Toss the buns from both sides.
29. Remove it from tawa and place it on a serving plate.
30. Add the prepared misal in a serving bowl.
31. Garnish with onions, coriander, lemon juice and sev.
32. Serve.
