INGREDIENTS

Flattened rice - 120 grams

Water - for washing

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Peanuts - 2 tablespoons

Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon

Curry leaves - 1 teaspoon

Onion - 70 grams

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

Sugar - 1 teaspoon

Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon

Water - 2 tablespoons ( divided )

Coriander - 1 tablespoon

Coriander - for garnish

Pomegranate - for garnish

 

 

PREPARATION

  1. Take a bowl, place a strainer over it and add 120 grams flattened rice/ poha in it.
  2. Now, pour some water to wash it thoroughly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add washed poha, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
  4. Mix it well and keep aside.
  5. Now, In a pan, add 2 tablespoons peanuts and dry roast for 2-3 minutes.
  6. In another pan, add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon curry leaves. Stir well.
  7. Now, add 70 grams onion, 1 teaspoon green chili. Mix well.
  8. Then, add 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, mix once and add 1 tablespoon water.
  9. Give it a nice stir.
  10. Now, add poha, roasted peanuts and mix well.
  11. Add 1 tablespoon water and give it a stir.
  12. Cook for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
  13. Then, add 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it well.
  14. Remove the pan from heat.
  15. Garnish it with chopped coriander and pomegranate.
  16. Serve hot.
