Omelette Manchurian

INGREDIENTS
(For Omelette)

Eggs - 5

Milk - 50 milliliters

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Oil - 2 tablespoons

 

(For Batter)

All purpose flour - 55 grams

Corn flour - 25 grams

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Water - 125 milliliters

Oil - for frying

 

(For Omelette Manchurian)

Oil - 30 milliliters

Garlic - 2 teaspoons

Ginger - 1 tablespoon

Onions - 75 grams

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Bell pepper - 60 grams

Corn flour - 2 tablespoons

Water - 40 milliliters

Soy sauce - 1 1/2 tablespoons

Water - 75 milliliters

Vinegar - 2 teaspoons

Ketchup - 25 grams

Spring onions - 20 grams

 

PREPARATION

(For Omelette)

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix it well.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add the egg mixture in it and cover it with lid.
  3. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Open the lid and flip it gently.
  5. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat or cook until it turns golden brown in color from both sides.
  6. Remove it from heat and cut it into pieces. Keep aside.

 

(For Batter)

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix it well to make a thick batter.

 

(For Omelette Pakora)

  1. Dip the omelette pieces in the prepared batter and coat it properly.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Drain it on an absorbent paper and keep aside.

 

(For Omelette Manchurian)

  1. Heat 30 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 2 teaspoons garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger and stir for 1 - 2 minutes.
  2. Then, add 75 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
  4. Now, add 60 grams bell pepper and mix it well.
  5. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  6. In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons corn flour, 40 milliliters water and mix it well to make a batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the heavy skillet, add 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce and mix it well.
  8. Add 75 milliliters water and mix it well.
  9. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  10. Then, add 2 teaspoons vinegar, 25 grams ketchup and mix it well.
  11. Now, add the fried omelette pakora in it and mix it well.
  12. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  13. Add 20 grams spring onions and mix it well.
  14. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
  15. Remove it from heat.
  16. Garnish with spring onions.
  17. Serve hot.
