Paneer Shawarma

INGREDIENTS

 

All Purpose flour- 250 grams

Sugar- 1 tablespoon

Salt- 1/2 teaspoon

Baking Powder- 1 teaspoon

Baking Soda- 1/4 teaspoon

Yogurt- 2 tablespoons

Oil- 1 1/2 tablespoons

Water- 60 milliliters

Yogurt- 200 grams

Red Chili- 1/2 tablespoon

Cumin Powder- 1/2 tablespoon

Coriander Powder- 1 tablespoon

Turmeric- 1/4 tablespoon

Salt- 1 tablespoon

Garlic- 2 tablespoons

Coriander- 2 tablespoons

Lemon Juice- 1 tablespoon

Paneer- 300 grams

Water- 100 milliliters

Vinegar- 70 milliliters

Sugar- 1 tablespoon

Salt- 1/2 tablespoon

Cucumber- 40 grams

Carrot- 40 grams

Beetroot- 40 grams

Mayonnaise- 50 grams

Hung Yogurt- 50 grams

Garlic- 2 tablespoons

Salt- 1/4 tablespoon

Powdered Sugar - 1/4 tablespoon

Black Pepper- 1/4 tablespoon

Lemon Juice- 1 tablespoon

Oil- 1 1/2 tablespoons

 

PREPARATION

 

  1. Take a bowl, add 250 grams all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 2 teaspoon yogurt, 1 1/2 teaspoon oil and mix it well.
  2. Now, add 60 milliliters of water in it to and make smooth a dough.
  3. Keep the prepared dough and rest for 2 hours.
  4. Take another bowl add 200 grams yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon red chilli, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric,1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoon garlic, 2 teaspoon coriander, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and mix it well with spatula.
  5. Add 300 grams of paneer and add it in above mixture.   
  6. Mix it well and marinate for 30 minutes.
  7. Take a pan, add 100 milliliters water, 70 milliliters vinegar, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and heat it.
  8. Keep stirring during the heating process.
  9. Now in a mixing bowl, add 40 grams cucumber, 40 grams carrot, 40 grams beetroot, prepared mixture of vinegar and keep it at rest for 30 minutes.
  10. Take another bowl, add 50 grams mayonnaise, 50 grams hung yogurt, 2 teaspoon garlic, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon sugar powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 1/2 teaspoon oil and mix it properly.
  11. Take a pan, heat 1 1/2 tablespoon oil , add marinated paneer .
  12. Cook it for 5-7 minutes on a medium heat.
  13. Now, take a small portion of dough and make chapatti with the help of a rolling pin and cook it in a pan.
  14. On a clean board,  take a  prepared mixture of mayonnaise, hung yogurt, hot sauce and spread it evenly on chapatti.
  15. Then, add lettuce, onion, beetroot, carrot, prepared paneer and fold it.
  16. Now, wrap it in silver foil to make a roll.
  17. Serve hot.
