Poha Croquettes

INGREDIENTS

Flattened rice - 75 grams
Warm water - 400 milliliters
Al purpose flour - 125 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - 200 milliliters
Boiled mashed potatoes - 500 grams
Parmesan cheese - 40 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon
Mixed herbs - 1 teaspoon
Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
Bread crumbs - for coating
Oil - for frying

PREPARATION


1. In a bowl, add 75 grams flattened rice, 400 milliliters warm water and soak for about 5 minutes.
2. Strained the flattened rice and keep aside.
3. In a another bowl, add 125 grams all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 200 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter. Keep aside.
4. In a mixing bowl, add 500 grams boiled mashed potatoes, soaked flattened rice, 40 grams parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1 teaspoon mixed herbs, 1/2 teaspoon oregano and mix all the ingredients well.
5. Take some mixture in your hand and flatten it with your fingers.
6. Place a mozzarella cheese cube on it and roll it into a ball.
7. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
8. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
9. Serve hot.
