Curry leaves - 14
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Ginger - 1 tablespoon
Onions - 130 grams
Bell pepper - 100 grams
Spinach - 80 grams
Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Boiled mashed potatoes - 720 grams
Gram flour - 100 grams
Rice flour - 50 grams
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Water - 300 milliliters
Bread slices
Water
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION
1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a heavy skillet, add 14 curry leaves, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger and stir for 2 - 3 minutes.
2. Then, add 130 grams onions, 100 grams bell pepper and fry till translucent.
3. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
4. Now, add 80 grams spinach, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala and mix it well.
5. Add 720 grams boiled mashed potatoes and mix it well.
6. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
7. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
8. In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams gram flour, 50 grams rice flour, 1 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili and mix it well.
9. Add 300 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
10. Take a bread slice and cut it’s sides.
11. Flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
12. Place a tablespoon of prepared mixture in the center.
13. Add some water in the sides of the bread slice.
14. Fold the bread sides diagonally to make a shape and seal it properly. (See Video)
15. Dip it in the prepared batter properly.
16. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until it turns golden brown and crispy.
17. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
18. Cut it into half.
19. Serve hot with ketchup.
